Conditions of use

Who we are

North Site is operated by Gael Ovide-Etienne, registered in France. When these conditions say “we” or “us”, that is who they mean. You can reach us at gael@northsite.app.

What North Site does

North Site turns a short description of your business into a complete, publishable website through automated generation: copy, design, imagery, and a lead form are produced for you from what you write. You can refine the result, publish it on a northsite.app subdomain, and prepare materials for your social channels.

The service builds a first version for you to review. You decide whether to publish it, and you are responsible for checking that what you publish is accurate and right for your business.

Your account

• Opening an account requires a business email address and a verified phone number.
• You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account.
• Keep your phone and account details secure, and let us know promptly if you think someone else has gained access.
• Give us accurate information, and keep your lead-notification email up to date so you receive your leads.
• You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live.

Your content and your site

You own your content, and you own your generated site. That includes the description you provide, the text and images on your site, anything you upload, and the published site itself. You can take it elsewhere at any time.

To run the service, you give us the permission we need to store, host, process, and display your content, for as long as your account is open.

We own North Site, our software, our brand, and the systems that build your site. Nothing in these conditions transfers those to you. On free plans, a small “Built with North” mark appears on your published site.

Acceptable use

When you use North Site, you agree not to:

• Publish anything unlawful, deceptive, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Publish content you do not have the right to use, including images, text, and trade marks.
• Impersonate another person or business.
• Attempt to break, overload, scrape, or circumvent the limits of the service.
• Upload malware or use the service to harm others.

We may unpublish a site, remove content, or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

The service as it is

We work hard to keep North Site running well, but the service is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available, and automated generation can produce results that need your review before they are right.

Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability to you for claims arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these conditions limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects the statutory rights you hold as a consumer where those apply.

Ending your account

You can stop using North Site and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these conditions, or where we are required to by law. When an account closes, your published site is taken down and your data is handled as described in our privacy policy.

Changes to these conditions

We may update these conditions as the product grows. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top of this page and give you notice, in the product or by email, before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated conditions.

Governing law

These conditions are governed by French law. If you use the service as a consumer, you keep any protections granted by the mandatory rules of the country you live in.
